As the peak of the winter season arrived, the Searle family felt uncomfortable, even though they were paying far more on their heating costs. They also discovered a leak under their boiler.
Problem: The Searles had an old and outdated Burnham hot water boiler in their home. It had a large crack and could no longer provide a comfortable level of heat in an energy-efficient manner.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed an Energy Kinetics 2000 Frontier EK-1 with a hot water storage tank in their Califon, NJ home.
As winter came to a close, the Kotubys realized that their current in-ground oil tank needed to be removed and replaced with a more efficient system.
Problem: The Kotuby family’s old 550-gallon oil tank was originally buried in the ground at their bi-level home in Rahway, NJ. The family needed their old tank removed and upgraded.
Solution: Skylands Energy Service installed a new 275 gallon Roth Oil tank in the basement of the Kotuby’s home. Our technician, Ted Francisco, performed the installation process also ran new oil lines overhead to the boiler.
The Dewees home in Ringoes NJ had an outdated Oneida oil furnace that had exceeded its expected lifespan. It was unable to provide a comfortable level of heat during the winter.
Problem: The Dewees family of Ringoes NJ had an old Oneida oil furnace that was performing poorly.
Solution: Skylands Energy Service removed their furnace and replaced it with a Thermo Pride OH6 Premiere Series oil furnace.
In order to make their home easier to sell and to increase the house value, the Huey family realized that they had to update their heating system and address the buried oil tank in the backyard.
Problem: The Huey family wanted to sell their bi-level home in Rahway, New Jersey. Their old heating system was fueled by oil and had an underground 550-gallon oil tank. In order to maximize the resale value of their house, the Hueys needed to upgrade their heating system.
Solution: Skylands Energy Service installed a brand-new Peerless WBV-03 steam boiler accompanied with a coil for domestic hot water. Additionally, we removed the buried oil tank and replaced it with a 165 gallon Roth oil tank.
During an annual heating inspection, our technician found that the Magulak’s firebox to their Trianco hot water boiler was starting to collapse.
Problem: The Magulaks had an old Trianco boiler that was unrepairable.
Solution: Skylands Energy Service removed their old oil boiler and replaced it with a Peerless boiler with a tankless coil. We installed new oil lines and completed the entire installation in one day. Our Hillsborough customers did not have to go without heat for long.
The Byrne family lives in a bi-level style home in Highland Park, NJ. Recently, the family noticed that their home felt uncomfortable and that their energy costs were increasing.
Problem: The Byrne’s boiler system was leaking and no longer functioned dependably.
Solution: A technician from Skylands Energy Service installed a gas-fired Peerless steam boiler as a replacement in their Highland Park home.
The Mullers has a had a Borg-Warner natural gas hot air furnace that was 25 years old.
Problem: The Muller family had a furnace that could not keep up with the cold Flemington, New Jersey winter.
Solution: Skylands Energy Service installed a Heil QuietComfort® Deluxe 80 gas furnace in their Flemington NJ home. Our technician was able to install their new heater in their home in one day, ensuring that they did not go without heat for long.
The Bacon family called Skylands Energy Service because they noticed that their outdoor oil tank was showing signs of age.
Problem: The Bacon’s oil tank was showing signs of rust and age.
Solution: Skylands Energy removed their old oil tank and installed a new Roth 275 gallon double wall oil tank. We ran all new oil lines to the furnace in their Ringoes, NJ home.
Just as winter storms prepared to hit the East Coast, the Fitzman Family noticed that their existing boiler was cracked and leaking.
Problem: The Fitzman’s boiler unit was damaged and needed to be replaced. In these cold winter months, the comfort and warmth of their ranch home was the family’s priority.
Solution: Skylands Energy Service replaced the Mclain unit with a new Peerless hot water boiler. The Fitzman’s can enjoy winter in the cozy atmosphere of a home a heated by their new WBV-03 Peerless boiler.
The Wagner family’s Milltown ranch home was cooled year after year by their Reem AC unit. No matter how great of an AC system you have, eventually you’ll need to replace it.
Problem: The Wagner family’s AC unit was outdated and had run the course of its life. They needed to replace their unit to allow their home to return to the comfort they were used to. For the Wagner’s, the most important thing was home comfort on a reasonable budget.
Solution: The cooling pros at Skylands Energy replaced their Reem unit with a new AC unit from Heil. The Wagner’s now benefit from the cooling power of a Heil N4A336AKF with a 13 SEER rating and a 3 ton cased coil in their quiet Milltown, NJ home.
Recently, the Rausch family noticed that their air conditioner was having a difficult time keeping up with the summer heat. It was unable to create a cool and comfortable environment. Also, their energy bills were increasing without any logical explanation.
Problem: The Rausch family was depending on an old and inefficient air conditioner that did not provide them with a comfortable environment. Their AC started blowing warm air, making the situation worse.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a Heil a 3-Ton 16 SEER A/C Condenser (model NXA636GKA) and a Heil (model FXM4X3600A) 3-Ton Multiposition TXV Air Handler in their home.
The Sohnen family came home after work to find their Arrow water heater leaking on their basement floor. To find a solution to their problem, they called Skylands Energy. We immediately dispatched one of our expert plumbers to assess their situation.
Problem: The Sohnen family had an old and outdated Arrow water heater. It was performing poorly and it was beginning to leak. Also, due to its age, it used an excessive amount of energy to operate, increasing their home’s water heating costs.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a Bradford White RG240T6N 40-Gallon Tall Atmospheric Vent Water Heater Natural Gas.
Nothing lasts forever, least of all a boiler heating system. These systems work well until you get an out of control energy bill or you feel cold when your heating system is working. The Melvin family of Milford, NJ experienced a similar situation with their aging Weil-McLain boiler in their home.
Problem: The Melvin family was using an old Weil-McLain boiler in their home that did not provide an adequate amount of heat to feel comfortable during the cold Milford NJ winters. Due to its age, it was extremely inefficient and consumed an excessive amount of energy. Consequently, they were paying astronomical home heating costs.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed an Energy Kinetics 90+ Resolute™ oil boiler and an Energy Kinetics indirect hot water heater (EK-1 90+ Resolute Oil Premier) in their home. We brought the venting up to code while preserving the aesthetic qualities of their historic, 250-year old home.
As the peak of the summer season hit in Hampton NJ, the Chase family noticed that their home felt hot and sticky during the day. They would compensate for their discomfort by cranking down the thermostat, resulting in astronomical energy bills at the end of the month.
Problem: The Chase family was using an old 34-year old Lennox air conditioner. It did not provide a comfortable environment and they were paying outrageous energy bills. Also, they wanted a solution for power outages that they recently experienced in Hampton.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a Heil (HSA648GKA) 4-Ton air conditioner and a Generac 22 kW Guardian® Series home standby generator in their Hampton, NJ home.
The Ryan family relied on their Carrier AC units to keep their home cool and comfortable during the summer. This particular summer, the family decided to go on a nice relaxing vacation. When they came back, they tried to turn on their unit, and unfortunately, their AC units would no longer turn on.
Problem: The Ryan’s needed to replace their two broken AC units as soon as possible. With the hot months of summer coming around, they wanted a solution that would provide them with cool air for a price that wouldn’t break the bank.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a new central air conditioning system in their Flemington NJ home. The Ryans are now the proud owners of two, 4-ton Heil AC Units, model HSA648GKA. These units will provide the family with cool, efficient air for years to come!
Every heating system reaches the end of its lifespan at some point or another. This was the case at the Elinore Berman Estate, where the homeowner found their boiler leaking all over the floor.
Problem: The Elinore Berman Estate had a leaking boiler that did not perform well.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a Weil-McLain WGO-3 oil boiler with a hot water coil at their Marlboro NJ home.
The Alexander family had been heating their New Jersey home with a Weil McLain hot water boiler for many years. However, their heating system was in need of an upgrade as it was rusty, old and it did not perform as well as it used to.
Problem: The Alexanders had an old and outdated Weil McLain hot water boiler. It did not provide a comfortable level of heat, and they were paying astronomical energy costs to heat their home.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed an Energy Kinetics System 2000 90+ Resolute™ and an Energy Kinetics 40-gallon indirect water heater in their Manasquan, NJ home.
Every spring season, the Klevze family would pull out their window AC units since their home did not have a ductwork system. They had depended on this type of cooling system for many years now. However, anyone who has used a window air conditioner understands the inconvenience that comes with them.
Problem: The Klevze family did not want to go another summer using their window air conditioning units because they never provided the true comfort that they needed. The Klevzes were interested in enhancing the level of comfort in their home, especially during the peak of the summer heat. They wanted to pay less for their cooling costs. Also, they did not want a system that was so noisy like their old window AC units were.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a Fujitsu ductless mini-split cooling and heating system. To properly cool their home, we installed two outdoor Fujitsu heat pump condensing units (AOU36RLXFZ1) and three indoor units (2 Indoor cassettes AUU12RLF and one wall unit ASU18RLF).
When significant changes take place to a structure, such as a home or a building, then it can impact the existing HVAC system. For example, when a homeowner constructs an addition to their home, the existing ductwork may not easily extend into the addition. Even if it does, the cooling or heating capacity of the current HVAC units may not be sufficient. The was similar to what the Segals were experiencing.
Problem: The Segals converted an old barn into an art studio. They found that their studio felt unbearable during the summer. Also, they were paying high energy costs, especially when considering the lack of comfort. Their old air conditioner did not function well, and it was unable to cool the entire building. Furthermore, their old AC unit used R-22 refrigerant.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a Carrier 4-ton AC condenser (model 24ABC648) and a matching indoor Carrier AC coil (model CNPVP4821).
Over the past few summers, the Clark family used window air conditioners to keep their home comfortable. However, they were tired of paying high energy bills and their home felt uncomfortable. They gave Skylands Energy a call to find out what they could do.
Problem: The Clark family did not want to use their window air conditioners as their source of cooling for the upcoming summer. Their window AC units were loud, expensive to operate and they found that their house was not as comfortable as it should be.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed an energy efficient Mitsubishi ductless heat pump condenser (MXZ-3C24NA2-U1) outdoors and two indoor wall units (MSZ-GL121NA-U1).
During the summer, the Bartkus family used window air conditioning units. However, they were paying outrageous energy bills and their home felt hot and sticky. They gave Skylands Energy a call to find out what they could do.
Problem: The Bartkus household dreaded the idea of using their window air conditioners for another summer. They were tired of paying the high energy costs that come with using these units. Additionally, they wanted a more comfortable and quiet air conditioning solution.
Solution: Skylands Energy installed a ductless mini-split cooling & heating system in their home. There home now has three Fujitsu indoor units and one outdoor compressor, model AOU36RLXFZ1. The three indoor units (two AUU9RLF models and one ASU18RLF model) will comfortably cool or heat their entire home.

Solution: Skylands Energy replaced their old and outdated Rudd furnace and installed a Heil furnace. We also installed a Aprilaire whole house humidifier.

Problem: The Garcias live in an Old Colonial home. They still had a cast iron boiler that was approximately 30 years old.
